COVID-19 Centre
The COVID Response Team is proud to serve the Members of Piikani Nation.
Our department has been operating for the health and well-being of the Piikani Nation members since March 2020. We have completed over 3,300 COVID tests, and continue to encourage Piikani Nation members to get tested.
Please call 587-421-2002 to book an appointment.
We encourage those members who are experiencing Cough, Shortness of Breath, Fever (>38⁰), Runny Nose, or Sore Throat to isolate for 10 days from the onset of symptoms and book an appointment to be tested. Please, socially distance at a minimum distance of 6 feet (2 meters), frequently sanitize or wash hands, and wear your masks proudly. These subtle precautions will help keep our Elders, Children, and all of Piikani Nation safer and limit the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
ATTENTION:
Aakom-Kiyii Health Services Isolation Centre office hours are from Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM, with office closure on Stat. Holidays. The Isolation Centre will not be doing intake (admittance) of those requiring isolation on evenings, weekends and stat holidays. The Isolation Centre only houses COVID-19 positive cases.
If you are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms during office closure hours please call 811 and self-isolate. If you would like to request to be isolated at AKHS Isolation Centre please isolate at home as best you can until office hours are open.
We understand the urgency for positive COVID-19 cases to isolate and we appreciate your cooperation and patience during this time.
