Fitness Centre
IITASOKSISTAWA’SIOP
The Community Fitness Centre provides free access to a fully equipped facility for Piikani Nation members. Designed to support all fitness levels, the gym includes a wide range of strength and conditioning equipment for youth, athletes, and anyone looking to improve their overall health and wellness.
The facility also offers rehabilitation and low-impact equipment, making it accessible for Elders and individuals recovering from injury. A certified personal trainer is available upon request to provide guidance and support.
Located on the northeast corner of the PRDL building in Piikani, the Fitness Centre is open to community members who complete a membership and waiver through Aakom Kiyii Health Services.
Pharmacy & Health Hub
The Piikani Pharmacy allows community members to fill prescriptions right on Nation and access visiting physician services through a partnership with the Associate Clinic in Pincher Creek. Doctors visit on a scheduled basis, and appointments can be booked by calling the clinic at (403) 627-3321. Please refer to the monthly calendar for upcoming clinic dates.
The pharmacy also provides access to lab services, helping make essential testing more convenient and accessible within the community.
Our healthbox is an interactive, touchscreen kiosk located across from the pharmacy on Piikani Nation. It provides free, anonymous access to important health resources and local support information, helping reduce barriers to care and stigma.

Hearing Aid Specialist
A hearing aid specialist assesses hearing abilities and fits and maintains hearing devices. They work closely with clients to ensure proper device selection, comfort, and function, helping individuals improve their hearing and communication in everyday life.
Occupational Therapist (OT)
An OT helps people develop, recover, or maintain the skills needed for daily living and working. They focus on improving independence in activities such as dressing, eating, and personal care, often adapting environments or tools to better suit the individual’s needs.
Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
An SLP supports individuals with communication and swallowing challenges. They assess and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders, helping clients improve their ability to express themselves and understand others, as well as ensuring safe eating and drinking.
Prosthetic Specialist
A prosthetic specialist designs, fits, and adjusts artificial limbs for individuals who have experienced limb loss. Their goal is to restore mobility, function, and independence while ensuring comfort and proper alignment.
Orthotic Specialist
An orthotic specialist creates and fits supportive devices such as braces or splints. These devices help improve alignment, reduce pain, and enhance mobility for individuals with musculoskeletal or neurological conditions.
Pedorthic Care Specialist
A pedorthist focuses on foot health by designing and modifying footwear and custom orthotics. They help relieve pain, correct foot alignment, and improve mobility for individuals with foot and lower limb issues.
Cancer Patient Navigator
Helping patients prepare for tests and cancer treatments by explaining test results and treatment choices or by referring patients to other resources or services.
Dietitian
A dietitian provides expert guidance on nutrition and healthy eating. They assess dietary needs, create personalized nutrition plans, and support individuals in managing health conditions, promoting overall wellness through balanced nutrition.
